'Grand Theft Auto IV' (GTA 4) is an open-world action game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games in 2008. The PC version of 'Grand Theft Auto IV' can be modified with the help of hacking utilities and user-generated content such as vehicles, weapons, textures and missions. Vehicle modifications (vehicle mods) alter the appearance and handling of certain default cars within the game. The General Lee is a popular vehicle mod that can be installed with the SparkIV modification utility.
Download and install the SparkIV modification utility. Install SparkIV to the default installation directory when prompted.
I actually can help! I had the same issue and I kept reading on forums saying that only physical disc installations of the game could be downgraded to ver. 1.0, but that is not true:) i actually figured this out myself. What you need to do is go and download a cracked 1.0 no cd gtasa.exe (i got mine from gamecopyworld.com, make sure it is a 1.0 exe or it will not work!!) and since you own. The “car installer” developed for bug-free mod handling is at your assistance. The GTA 4 car mods you like can be downloaded and be up and running in no time as the car installer does everything for you, with no manual intervention necessary. Enjoy your adventure with the GTA 4 new cars!
Download a General Lee vehicle mod to your computer's desktop from your preferred 'Grand Theft Auto IV' modification source. There are many online resources for GTA 4 car mods that use a rating system to rank popular mods. Choose the General Lee vehicle mod with the highest rating possible.
Open the 'readme.txt' file included with the General Lee vehicle mod file and note which vehicle the General Lee replaces.
Launch the SparkIV modification utility.
Click 'Import' on the main SparkIV tool bar near the top of the application window. Browse to your computer's desktop and open the General Lee vehicle mod file. Select both the 'Wft' and 'Wtd' files and click 'Open.'
Click 'Rebuild' from the main SparkIV tool bar to add the General Lee to the GTA 4 vehicle list. Click 'Save' and exit the SparkIV application. Now when you play 'Grand Theft Auto IV,' the General Lee will take the place of the car listed in the 'readme.txt' file.
Warnings
When installing multiple vehicle mods, be careful not to overwrite any previous modifications. If two mods replace that same default vehicle, only the latest modification will be visible. Try to choose vehicle mods that do not conflict with existing modifications.
